A pre paid unlimited plan is cheaper because of the fact that you pay more for the phone and everything may not be included. The phones that come with pre paid plans aren’t the highest end unless you pay the price for the higher end equipment. None the less, unlimited plans are popular.

Students would benefit from pre paid plans since they don’t need the highest end business phones and mostly just talk and text. Elderly would also benefit because they may need to contact someone in an emergency and want the portability. There are also a number of parents who want to keep a pre paid phone in their car and want the peace of mind that if they are in an accident, they can easily contact someone.
